Every CR Smith orangerie includes an extruded aluminium clad roof which is finished with uPVC on the inside to match the windows. Its engineered construction means the roof is fully built and tested prior to installation which carries British Board of Agrément accreditation. The aluminium design means it will remain colour-fast and gives it additional rigidity and strength, unlike uPVC roofs. Each roof has a unique wind and snow loading specification, computer calculated prior to manufacture.
The roof features Smartglass which has a clever dual-action coating to the outside which helps keep the roof cleaner for longer and a special surface on the inside which retains heat and reduces glare.
Our climate control system allows you to regulate the temperature in your orangerie. It will heat or cool, dehumidify and purify the air at the touch of a button or set timer. We believe it is the perfect way to control the climate and get the most out of your orangerie.
All our Lorimer windows and doors achieve an ‘A’ energy rating. Each window is fitted with two panes of toughened glass as standard for strength and safety. And to increase their thermal efficiency, one of the panes has a special low emissivity coating, and the cavity is filled with Argon gas.
Choose from royal oak, natural ash, American cherry or far eastern hardwood beautiful veneered sills and solid skirtings, all hand-finished in wax or varnish. Alternatively, you can opt for brilliant white.
We can offer a choice of ventilation solutions, but as a starting point we suggest opening windows throughout and a set of double doors, to allow free flow of air (and also to aesthetically make it more attractive).
