Sliding sash windows with original stained glass in Glasgow home

Most important of all was the two beautiful stained glass windows in the hall and in the main bathroom: “It would have been sacrilege to rip them out,” said Mr Scott. “But they were so draughty and rotten it wasn’t an option to keep them as they were.”

The solution? With surgical-like precision, we removed the glass from the originals then built the new sliding sash window around it, completely encapsulating and preserving it. Now the Scotts can enjoy the beauty of the stained glass with the benefits of a brand new Lorimer window.
