Customer delight with new windows and perfect installation
Perthshire & DundeeMr & Mrs Coates moved into their new home in December and knew that they wanted to get started with some renovations on the annexe. As previous customers of CR Smith, they had no hesitations in getting in touch and booking James for a home design appointment, to help decide on the type of window and window style.
The stunning orangerie that was constructed by CR Smith in their previous property really impressed the couple and they felt confident that we would return and deliver an equally good job with the home improvements required in their new property in Monikie.
The couple replaced old double glazing with improved energy-efficiency, Lorimer casement windows. With a BFRC rating of A, the new double glazed windows will deliver a reduction in heat loss as well as some energy savings.
With a beautiful anthracite grey exterior and bright white interior, the new window installation really stands out. Using equal sightlines on each window frame adds an extra dose of kerb appeal, especially when paired with the cottage-style engineered timber front door.
The front of the property is perfectly balanced thanks to some clever window styling.
“I could sum it up in two words: product and professionalism.”
“We moved in at the beginning of December. We needed to find a house with an Annex or a potential Annex because at some future point our youngest daughter is going to have to come to live with us. The house we had in Falkland, as much as we loved it, just wasn’t adaptable.
We had a wonderful Conservatory made by CR Smith which was a delight. It gave us a chance to sit in the garden without being outside. The garden surrounded it and it sat there beautifully.
We chose CR Smith because we wouldn’t choose anyone else actually.
I’m really sincere about that we didn’t even consider anyone else. We knew that we’d get good service because we did last time.
The representative, James, was someone we know we can trust and he’s so thorough and so careful and so attentive to detail. We chose some windows and then we thought no that’s not going to look right. And back he came. Didn’t he? The next morning, at eight o’clock and talked it through with us and made the adjustments that had to be done. It was just a wonderful service.
When we chose the door we got a photograph of what it was going to look like in situ so we could see it. We didn’t just have to imagine it.
I suppose I could sum it up in two words – it’s product and professionalism.
People turned up when they said they were going to. They worked so well and together as a team just got on with it. It’s such a pleasure to have craftsmen in your house who come, do the job, tidy up and when they’ve gone it’s finished.
The door and window team were wonderful. They worked like a well-oiled machine.
There’s one thing I’d like to say about the room where the new windows are, every time I go into it I feel happy because the whole aspect has changed. That makes a difference to your whole feeling about the house.
I do go in there quite a lot just because it makes me feel happy to water the orchid that’s in there on the windowsill and so on.
It’s a pleasure to have it with the windows as they are. Then as you pull up to the house now and see the front door and those windows it was a really good decision.
It just actually gives you so much confidence doesn’t it? You know that it’s going to go well. After first experiencing this you know we’d never ever use anyone but CR Smith. We’re thinking, you know, we’ll slowly get them all replaced. But not having won the lottery last week is going to be a bit at a time. So he’s just gonna have to keep on coming out.
We unreservedly recommend CR Smith to anyone. We really appreciate everything that they’ve done and will continue to do.”
