Sills and surrounds

Sills and surrounds.

We design our windows to be looked at, as well as through. There’s nothing like the natural beauty of Royal Oak, Natural Ash, American Cherry or Far Eastern timber to set off a room.

They feel sensational too, run your fingers across the surround and you’ll notice the wood is more than just smooth. Every inch is hand-finished by our professional decorators in wax or varnish so that the natural beauty and integrity of the wood are maximised and bring your room to life.
We can alternatively offer an engineered wood, finished in brilliant white if this would suit your home better.

Timber Maintenance

To keep your timber looking fresh and new, you can implement basic maintenance tips into your cleaning routine to ensure they look as good as the day they were installed:

  • Cleaning – Regularly wipe down your sills with a micro-fibre cloth and polish to remove any dust build-up.
  • Re-coat – Every few years, it is recommended to re-varnish or re-wax the timbers to keep them protected and looking new.

Our timber maintenance blog has more insights into what efforts can be carried out to ensure that your timbers stay protected and looking fresh.

Glass Maintenance

Our simple cleaning guidelines can be implemented into your cleaning routine to ensure your new windows stay fresh.

  • Clean your windows monthly  – this will help prevent debris from building up.
  • Wipe down with cleaning products –  we recommend using glass cleaner or clean water with a dash of vinegar and kitchen roll to get a streak-free shine.
