CR Smith Supports The Fife Speedway Cycle Club

01/11/24

At CR Smith, staying involved in local activities and supporting the surrounding community is an integral part of the business, whether this is by taking part in local fundraisers or making donations. Our most recent community support has been donating a fund to the Fife Speedway Cycle Club to fix the track, located at Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline, after being vandalised last month.

The Chief Executive Officer of CR Smith, Kevin Eadie, saw the original story in the Dunfermline Press, and with CR Smith Chairman, Gerard Eadie, having a long-standing passion for cycling, decided a contribution to fix the track was the least CR Smith could do to help keep the track open and support the young people of Dunfermline.

Having hosted the inaugural Scottish National Cycle Speedway Championship the previous month, in collaboration with Scottish Cycling, which attracted around 50 riders and more than 150 spectators, the track is an upcoming popular spot for young people with a passion for Speedway Cycling.

With speedway cycling increasing in popularity across Fife, we look forward to seeing the continued development and success of the Fife Speedway Cycling Club!
